Nigeria International, Ademola Lookman, has backed Barcelona star, Lamine Yamal to win the Ballon d’Or soon.

Yamal, 17, joined Barcelona’s senior team just last year 2023 but has established himself, scoring 13 goals and 17 assists in 66 games.

The Spain International and Euro 2024 winner was named the best young player in the world by France Football recently.

Lookman told DAZN that the youngster is heading towards a successful career in football when was asked to pick a player who could win the Ballon d’Or in the future.

The Super Eagles star said via Yahoo Sports, “One player who could win the Ballon d’Or in future? Lamine Yamal.”

DAILY POST reported that Barcelona defender, Pau Cubarsí had earlier made a similar claim about Yamal earlier this month while talking to RAC 1.

He said his Barcelona teammate could win the France Football award.
