Mahadi Shehu, a public affairs analyst, has said that Northern leaders should apologise to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan over the treatment meted to him while in power.
Shehu said Jonathan dedicated federal resources meant for the nation to rehabilitate Almajiris by building schools for them.
In a video posted by African Independent Television, AIT, the public analyst lamented that soon after the ex-President left government, those structures were left to dilapidate.
He said: “Goodluck Jonathan dedicated federal resources meant for the nation to rehabilitate these Almajiris.
“Soon after he left, we know how the structures are now. All those Nigerians who abused and cast aspersions, including myself, on Jonathan during his own regime need to apologize him openly.
“While politicians use them for political reasons, they don’t look at the other side of the consequences of creating more ‘Boko Haram’ out of them, and more armed robbers out of them.
“These young men, who have been denied all the essence of life, all the goodies of life, who have been traumatized and reduced into pitiable materials, will one day emerge very soon to identity their enemies.
“Not far enemies but people close to them, and they will take revenge”.
