We don?t want Band A, leave us on Band B - Lagos residents protest after electricity tariff hike

In a strong display of dissatisfaction, some Lagos residents have staged a protest against the recent increase in electricity tariffs.

Holding placards with bold inscriptions such as “We reject outrageous tariffs” and “Issue Prepaid Meters for Free,” the protestors voiced their frustrations over the classification of their area under Band A, which demands higher tariffs.

The residents called for a re-migration to Band B, citing concerns about the affordability of the new rates and inadequate service delivery.
